A Combined Method for Preparation of Landslide Susceptibility Map in Izmir (Türkiye)

Landslide susceptibility maps (LSMs) have been used frequently by researchers for many years in prediction of the occurrence landslides. Since landslides occurred there past, Izmir, which is third largest city Türkiye, was selected landslide assessment using geographical information systems (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) techniques. The aim this study to create a better map (LSM) Izmir metropolitan area its surroundings minimizing shortcomings some commonly methods. For purpose, four different LSMs were prepared logistic regression (LR), analytical hierarchy process (AHP), frequency ratio (FR) index entropy (IOE) methods with classes ranging from extremely low high. These then overlaid. highest class chosen each pixel form combined (CLSM). final CLSM thematic presenting five classes. geo-environmental factors use analysis slope angle, aspect, lithology, curvature, elevation, density discontinuity, stream power (SPI), land distance stream. Finally, areas under receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curves employed compare predictive capability models used. Overall, Combined Method (CM) (AUC = 0.887) performed very well assessment. Out all models, IOE model 0.841) had slightly lower than CM model, AHP 0.816) FR 0.738) LR 0.727). It observed that, compared rural areas, residential are particularly susceptible
